Getting your romantic couple portrait can be a very unique experience: it can be fun, creative, and memorable. Moreover, because all love stories are one-of-a-kind, all photo shoots are different as well. The gallery below is a selection of shootings done without any particular event in mind: just for fun – and to celebrate your union. But in my career I have captured the love of hundreds of couples, in a variety of locations and situations. Some examples: anniversaries, secret proposals, engagements and more.

Couple portrait ideas

Every couple has a different story. That’s why I love taking portraits of couples so much: because every session is different from all others.

Many people ask me for ideas, but the truth is that there are no rules. Every couple deserves a one-of-a-kind session, that must be tailored on the couple’s style and experience. My suggestion is for you to take a moment to recall a special or particularly meaningful moment in your love story. Where were you? What were you wearing? What happened? Was it outdoor or indoor? Maybe at your favourite restaurant? There you have it: that’s a perfect starting point. From here, anything is possible. It can be a romantic couple portrait, maybe wearing smart clothes, or a fun and casual one. One of my favourites is the classic “couple portrait with dog” (or “with cat”, of course), picturing your everyday life at home. Anything can be done, as long as the final products represent your real self.
