Pet Photography
Ok, I promised to myself that I’d try my best not to be cheesy, here… But gosh, I LOVE photographing pets! Honestly, I melt when I see those silly poses, fluffy furs and playful expressions. I’ve been a proud dog owner all my life, and my passion for per photography started early on, in my childhood.
Having quality photos of your four-legged family members can be an extremely rewarding experience: it’s fun, exciting and joyful. Besides, it makes for the best wall art you can possibly imagine!
Outdoor pet photography
Some pets, particularly dogs, give their best when outdoor. Especially in familiar areas, such as their own backyard, but also in woods and parks. For example, my area (I’m based in Woolwich Arsenal) is a treasure cove of photo opportunities. Views of the river with Canary Wharf in the background, nature reserves with ponds and willow trees, parks, hills and the amazing architecture of the renewed Arsenal buildings. Moreover, it’s mostly a pedestrian area, very pet-friendly – as proven by the huge number of dogs and cats you see around, all the time. Many families from all across London take their pets here for our photo shoot sessions, and make it a full day out to enjoy the area.
Indoor pet photography
Pets in their homes can be at their silliest. Playing with toys, popping their head out of a pile of pillows, or rolling over the carpet – they can be natural meme material. Probably the most popular settings are the family-portrait-in-the-living-room, the toddler-with-pet, and the cat-and-dog-cuddles.
Studio pet photography
Studio portraits became less and less popular over the years, in favour of more natural settings. However, if done right (meaning: if you manage not to be too cheesy), a studio session can produce some incredibly good images. The fact that you can choose the backdrop colour and the lighting setup unlocks endless possibilities, making for some truly exceptional wall art. The final prints can be tailored specifically for your living room or your child’s bedroom, for instance.
Pets photo frames and albums
This is my favourite part. In my experience, NOTHING beats a big print of your pets on your wall. They’re both personal and stylish, funny and classy, silly and hipster-ish. They can decorate your house in a truly unique way, impress your friends and lively the environment. Moreover, they can be designed from the start to match your furniture!
